 The most popular Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be conferred honorary degree by the Oxford University of London.

Fashion Magzine hello Pakistan posted a short video clip on instagram in which oxford university described him as:
“Pakistani singer, primarily of Qawwali, a devotional music of the Muslim Sufis”

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is the best singer of the county of singers who have made people mad in India with his beautiful voice. Today, he will be honoured with the honorary degree of a doctorate by the UK’s well-known Oxford University to give valuable services in the music sector.

Earlier in Memorial ceremony in London, the Chancellor of Oxford University was given a lunch in honour of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and gave a tribute to him with great words.

According to the Oxford University Administration, “Born into a family whose name has become synonymous with South Asian musical tradition, he began formal training at the age of seven and has since released more than 50 albums, performed in numerous high-profile concerts across the world and amassed a global following, achieving over one billion views online,”
