Now it’s easier to see who is editing a shared document in Google Docs. So far, Google Docs has not told anyone who exactly edited the shared file. With the “Show Editor” feature, Google Docs can now easily view your changes. Google Docs is known for its collaboration and editor. When all the documents have been saved and aligned, it is much easier to start working on the next project.
This saves time and completes the work quickly. When you work with a large group of people, it is difficult to remember who edited the file. However, with the latest Google Docs update, Workplace users have been able to keep up with the changes made. Google Docs also has a new “show editor” feature that can display additional information about a particular text history.
According to Google, the “Show Editor” feature will be available starting today. To access this tool, just select some text and click “Show Current Editor” from the context menu. Enabling this feature will display a complete list of people currently working on that particular text, including a timestamp and revision history. With the “Show Editor”, administrators can simplify this task so that they can continuously view all the details, including who made the change and when the document was last edited.
This can standardize the workflow of other employees in the group. Needless to say, this does not make it easier to remove changes from the document. Office subscribers can choose to decline the offer, and users who access Google Drive can also make a blank copy of the document to remove layout changes. Please note that you cannot undo the changes made by the author to the document.
The user can only see the changes in the saved file. On the other hand, customers of Workspace Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, and Education Plus customers will have access to “Show Editors”. It will be made publicly available within two weeks. Before starting this role, it was difficult for employees to stay on the same page as another team members. No one knows these changes and the reasons behind these changes. If necessary, the user must download the Word document separately for editing. Show Editors not only make it easy to track the changes of a large number of employees, but also make future projects easy.
With the “Show Editor“, administrators can simplify this task so that they can continuously view all the details, including who made the change and when the document was last edited.
