Jazz partnered with USF to provide 4G services in Jacobabad, Shikarpur and Kashmore

Pakistan’s leading 4G operator and largest Internet and broadband service provider Jazz has partnered with the Universal Service Foundation (USF) to provide 4G services in Sindh provinces of Yakobabad, Shikarpur, and Kashmore. The contract was signed by Haaris Mahmoud Chaudhary, Chief Executive Officer of the University of South Florida, and Aamir Ibrahim, Chief Executive Officer of the Sir. Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications Sid Amin Ul Haq; Federal Minister of Planning, Development, Reform and Special Initiatives Asad Umar (Asad Umar); Federal Minister of Privatization Mian Muhammad Somro attended the event and paid tribute to the meeting. Jazz CEO Amir Ibrahim said: “Jazz has invested US$462 million in the past two years to expand its 4G business in rural and suburban areas, and to narrow the digital divide in cooperation with the Pakistani government.

Today, about 60% of Pakistan’s population has access to 4G Jazz. According to the contract, Jazz will work with USF to bring high-speed mobile broadband to 1 million residents in three underserved areas, thereby creating socio-economic opportunities and improving lives.
