PTA extends 3G/4G licenses for the three operators of AJK and GB

Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan mobile phone license renewal ceremony was held today at the PTA headquarters in Islamabad.

Three mobile operators such as Telenor Pakistan, PMCL (Jazz), and PTML (Ufone) paid 190 billion rupees (50% of the license fee stipulated by PTA) to PTA’s license renewal fee. On this occasion, the PTA chairman praised the efforts of mobile operators to play a key role in providing connectivity to these regions.

Interested PTA, FAB, and MoIT officials worked tirelessly to complete the update process on time. He also stated that AJ&K and GB are the top tourist areas in Pakistan, and the license renewal will pave the way for consumers and tourists in these areas to provide 3G/4G and next-generation cellular services. Efforts to provide in remote areas Advanced telecommunications services provide many businesses, education, and health opportunities.

On this occasion, the Minister of Information Technology and Technology, Ph.D. Muhammad Sohail Rajput asked mobile operators to renew their licenses. He said that AJ&K and GB are very important in public policy, and the government’s primary task is to provide advanced telecommunications services in these areas.

The license renewal not only helps to continue to provide better telecommunications services for AJ&K and the British population but also encourages competition and investment in the telecommunications sector.

Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput, President of PTA, Major General Amir Azim Bajwa (right), PTA Financial Member Muhammad Naveed and PTA Compliance Member, Dr. Khawar Siddiq Khohar, Executive Director of the Frequency Allocation Board (FAB), Assistant Secretary of the Gilgit Baltistan Committee, Assistant Secretary (Finance) and Assistant Secretary (Welfare and Development) of the AJ&K Committee, and senior officials of PTA. Also attending this event were Elenor, Jazz, and Ufone, as well as high-level representatives of the marketing director.
