Since then, Facebook has been very active in the news for various reasons, but this is common when you are a growing social giant with more than one million followers. Many people cannot accept some of their rules, and similar things have happened recently with this social media giant.

The US Federal Trade Commission accused Facebook of monopolistic behavior. Facebook acquired Instagram and WhatsApp for US$1 billion in 2012. In 2014, the FTC bought these two companies for $12 billion on their behalf, because Facebook was worried about increased market competition caused by these two applications.

They may cause Facebook to be overthrown, and under this threat, the technology giant decides to take over the two companies. The complaint stated that after the two apps were acquired, Facebook also changed some of its policies to avoid conflicts with Facebook’s policies and to serve as excellent independent applications.

Facebook also mentioned in its report that Facebook should allow Instagram and WhatsApp to become independent applications and free them from control to maintain active market competition. The case was filed in late December last year, and the verdict was passed.

District Judge James Boasberg announced the verdict on Monday. He said in a statement that the evidence provided by the FTC was insufficient to force Facebook to give up. Although Facebook may violate the law or monopolistic behavior in the business acquired by it, all of these can be completed during Facebook, not afterward.

The statement was made in response to the fact that the FTC provided all the evidence in 2013, which is too old for today; however, although the case has been closed so far, it has not yet been fully closed because the court has given the FTC 30 days to propose another A strong appeal.
