Sindh government requires PTA to block SIM cards of unvaccinated people

The Sindh provincial government has decided to write to the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) and the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) to block the SIM cards of people who have not gotten the covid vaccine.

Sindh Government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said that the Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, approved the proposal at a high-level meeting held today because the COVID19 outbreak in Sindh continues to rise. During the meeting, CM Sindh also directed relevant authorities to approach PTA through the federal government to send warning messages to users of all mobile networks in the province to get vaccinated within a week before blocking their SIMs.

During the meeting, CM Sindh also instructed the relevant authorities to contact the PTA through the federal government to send a vaccination warning to all users on the province’s cellular network for a week before blocking their SIM cards.

If the PTA approves the proposal of the Sindh Provincial Government, Sindh will become the second province after Punjab Province to ban the use of SIM cards by all unvaccinated citizens after the decision last month.
On the other hand, network operators are expected to oppose the Sindh government’s attempts to prevent unvaccinated citizens from using SIM cards, as Punjab did when similar measures were proposed.

The telecommunications industry will not be satisfied with such things. They believe that basic rights should not be restricted, but the government can start to prohibit non-vaccinated people from purchasing non-essential goods.

Option, if necessary, you can contact CBT to obtain a position. Earlier, the Sindh provincial government also decided to retain the monthly salary of employees who have not been vaccinated. The state government will be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
