Attackers use robots to access unique passwords

As it has become easier for someone to illegally obtain other people’s passwords to access their accounts, companies began to provide two-factor authentication. This can make it more difficult for someone to access your account because they need your phone to get an OTP (unique password) that they might not be able to get.

It’s important to note that attackers are constantly looking for new and different methods to trick you into granting them access to your account. According to CyberNews, they have begun to use the latest technology including robots. So that you can provide them with a one-time password.

The scary thing about this Robocall bot is that it can actually be purchased through an encrypted Telegram chat group. The group currently has approximately 6,000 members, which means that thousands of people may be using the robot. The bot pretended to be an official representative of Apple or Google and tried to apologize for why it needs the one-time password it just received.

That’s the reason to be extra careful about these things: you should never give your password or one-time password to anyone, even if they claim to be from the company whose product you use. The first is your password or OTP, so unless you want to lose access to your account, you should always do your best to handle these types of calls carefully.
