The question paper for the computer studies final for the ninth grade was posted on Twitter 15 minutes ahead of the exam was scheduled to start on Tuesday.
The social science group examination was scheduled to take place at 9:30am today, but the question paper was leaked at 9:15am. Despite the government’s promises of preventing cheating during the examinations and secure distribution of examination papers, questions had been leaked at 9:15am.
According to the Board of Secondary Education Karachi, there are more than 360,000 students attending the examination for the ninth and 10th grades. Hence, the board has arranged 448 exam centres in Karachi’s 18 towns to accommodate these students.
Students have been instructed not to bring mobile phones to the exam centers and the Sindh government has also enforced Section 144 in areas where exam centers have been established. Roughly 158,869 students are currently seated for exam.
In the morning shift, science group papers are held, while general group papers are held for the second shift.
The school administration decided to contact the officials of the board at the nearby Nooh Hamza School after examination papers revealed confusion in some of the centers.
