Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah launched Tuesday the eStamping system in the Sindh province. The E-Stamping system has been launched with the joint collaboration of the PITB, the Board of Commissioners of Revenue Government of Sindh, and the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).
The launching ceremony was held at Sindh CM House, attended by Revenue Minister Makhdoom Mehboob, chief secretary, senior member board of revenue, the president of National Bank, and others.
Addressing the ceremony, CM Murad Ali Shah stated that Stamp duty has been reduced to one percent from two percent. Terming the launch in Sindh of the E-Stamping system as a milestone, Shah explained that the digital age has been revolutionizing the world.
According to him, the E-Stamping Challan can be obtained at the National Bank or online. This will help modify the fiscal plan as Principal-Agent agreements are being primarily aligned to increase tax revenue.
