The current government government is proposing to present the Budget for the next fiscal year 2022-23 in the National Assembly (NA) today (Friday) 10 June 2022.

Miftah Ismail, Minister of Finance and Revenue, will present the budget in the National Assembly on 10 June 2022 at 4:00 p.m., with a likely outlay of more than Rs9.5 trillion.
The budget was created with the current economic challenges in mind, both domestically and internationally. Miftah Ismail will also present Supplementary Grants 2021-22, as well as the Finance Bill 2022.
Given the robust growth in revenues during the current fiscal year (2021-22), the government is likely to set the revenue collection target for fiscal year 20222-23 at more than Rs.7 trillion.
Federal Government Pakistan Budget 2022-23
According to sources, the coalition government has decided to allocate Rs800 billion for the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) in the coming fiscal year.
For the coming fiscal year, a development budget of Rs800 billion has been proposed, of which Rs538 billion will be allocated to federal ministries / departments.
Meanwhile, the government has chosen to allocate Rs 25 billion to the Atomic Energy Commission, Rs41.87 billion to the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and Rs2.5 billion to Aviation.
Rs84 billion has been proposed for the energy sector, Rs83 billion for water schemes, and Rs39 billion for the Housing Ministry and Planning.
In addition, the Ministry of Climate Change will receive Rs9.5 billion. It is proposed that Rs10.47 billion be allocated to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Rs12 billion to the Ministry of Health, Rs12 billion to the Ministry of Food Security, and Rs3.1 billion to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
