Rivian Automotive confirmed its 2026 vehicle delivery guidance on Friday after posting a 46% year-over-year jump in third-quarter deliveries that beat Wall Street expectations.
The electric vehicle maker said it delivered 19,248 units between July and September, up from 13,201 in the same period a year earlier. FactSet-compiled average estimates had put the figure at 18,000 units, according to CNBC Markets.
Rivian’s guidance for 2026 vehicle deliveries, raised earlier this year, stands at between 65,000 and 70,000 vehicles. To hit that target, the company would need to lift deliveries from the third to the fourth quarter by at least 20.5%, reaching 23,193 vehicles.
The delivery growth comes as Rivian continues to scale production of its entry-level R2 SUV, which launched earlier this year as a smaller, more affordable counterpart to its flagship R1 SUV, CNBC Markets reported.
