Former Aitchison College Shamim Saifullah Khan Died at Age 86

Shamim Saifullah Khan, a very well educationist and former principal of Aitchison College in Lahore, died on Sunday. He was 86 years old.

The deceased was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in the Sadullah Khan Kallay area of the this city.

Shamim Saifullah was born in the Charsadda neighbourhood of Mohammad Nari to Sadullah Khan. He completed his education in England.

From 1994 to 2008, he was the principal of Aitchison College in Lahore. He was the grandson of Dr. Khan Sahib, the former chief minister of the then-North West Frontier Province, now known as Khyber Pakhunkhwa.

Khan Sahib was the younger brother of Khudai Khidmatgar Tehreek founder of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, also known as Bacha Khan.

Imran Khan, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Barrister Ehtizaz Ahsan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ayaz Sadiq, Asfandyar Wali Khan, and other well-known politicians, civil and military officers, bureaucrats, and businessmen were among his students.

He was a man of principle who believed in discipline and merit.
