Up to 43,000 forms have been received by applicants hoping to travel to Saudi Arabia for the annual Travel to Mecca as Hajj Application 2022 Pakistan Last Date today (Friday) 13 May 2022 is the last day to submit the form.
The quota for personal and government pilgrimages has been divided into 60 and 40 portions, based on origin and type, they said in 2019, 180,000 Pakistani pilgrims travelled to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj.
Sources shared that Pakistani airlines would be operating Hajj operations and their fares would range between Rs180,000 and Rs280,000.
Government-facilitated Hajj has been charged Rs945,000 while private tour operators will charge above Rs1 million for the same journey.
The pilgrims were advised that they would be required to bring in mobile phones and internet access.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has established a helpline for pilgrims in order to facilitate their travel to Saudi Arabia to perform pilgrimage in 2022.
