Arijit Singh, an Indian singer known for his heartfelt songs, recently surprised fans on this side of the border by promising to visit Pakistan soon.
Over the weekend, the 35-year-old singer came on stage in Houston, where his wonderful voice had the audience swooning.
A video from the event has gone viral on social media, showing the audience screaming their hearts out as Singh spilt the beans about his planning to travel to Pakistan.
“You can rest your arms over there, the person from Pakistan,” Singh purportedly said to a Pakistani fan at his concert.
“I will come to Pakistan,” he added.
Furthermore, Singh is no new to showing his love for Pakistani musicians, previously having shared his displeasure with the singers’ prohibition in his country.
“I don’t follow the news,” Singh stated during his Abu Dhabi show, “but tell me one thing, has Pakistani music been banned in India?”
“Is it still banned or has the ban been lifted?” he inquired.
“Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Shafqat Amanat Ali are some of my favourites,” he stated.
