Apple is organising its annual WWDC 2022 event next week on June 6 where the Cupertino giant plans to unveil the next major software updates for its products. We expect official details on iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, and also more.
Apple is expected to reveal its next-generation MacBook Air with an M2 chip at the next WWDC event, as according Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Despite indications of “realityOS” being spotted in Apple’s source code earlier this year, Gurman believes it’s unlikely to see Apple’s AR headset during this event.
The M2 MacBook Air, on the other hand, has recently been the subject of several speculations and leaks. According to Gurman, Apple had expected to unveil the redesigned laptop during the WWDC event, but supply chain issues made it difficult. COVID-related closures in China are the source of these supply difficulties.
Apple staff have been using the next-generation MacBook Airs with their apps, according to developers, hinting that it will be released shortly.
New features for iOS 16 will also be announced at the event, including an Always-On display for iPhone 14 Pro models and “social network-like functionality” in Messages.
