Mian Javed Latif, a senior leader of PML-N said Monday that Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister and party supremo, is expected to come back to Pakistan after Eid.
The PML-N supremo left for London in November 2019. He was granted permission to go abroad to seek medical treatment by then Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In 2018, an accountability court sentenced Nawaz to seven years in prison and fined him £8 million in the Al-Azizia Steel Mill corruption reference while he was sentenced to 11 years in prison and fined £8 million in the Avenfield Properties reference.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) suspended Nawaz Sharif’s sentence in 2019 and allowed him to go abroad for medical treatment.
