The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a 16-man team for the next One-Day International series against the West Indies. The team will be led by the Men in Green’s all-format captain, Babar Azam, whereas all, Shadab Khan, will be his vice – captain.

The three-match series, which is part of the ICC ODI World Cup Super League, will be hosted at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on June 8, 10, and 12.
Mohammad Haris, a young wicket-keeper batter, is a surprise selection in the team, as is all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz, who now has recovered from a long injury.
In the 50-over format, there was no place in the lineup for Shan Masood, as Pakistan decided to go with Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, and Abdullah Shafique as the three openers.
The pace squad for the Green Shirts will include Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim Jnr., and Shahnawaz Dahani, while Zahid Mahmood will be the key spinner with Shadab and Nawaz.
Saud Shakeel, a middle-order batsman who featured in the ODI series against Australia, will not be included in the squad. Similarly, Asif Ali, the explosive batter, has been dropped from the team following birth of his daughter.
