The PCB is considering making possible changes to the number of centrally contracted players and salaries. They are expecting an increase of 10-15% in monthly salaries and fees.
A PCB official said that “Preliminary talks have started for new central contract negotiations.” The existing contracts of the 20 players will expire on June 30.
The PCB will be reshuffling, promoting, and demoting players through different categories for the contracts that are to be issued on June 1.
New contracts will be awarded to Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Haris Rauf according to the sources. Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and leg-spinner Yasir Shah may not be offered new contracts.
