Punjab Budget 2022-23 Pakistan Salaries increased by 30%


The Punjab cabinet has approved a huge pay increase for government employees in grades 1-9 in the budget for fiscal year 2022-23 on Monday.

The approval came today during a pre-budget meeting presided over by Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz. for govt employers Salaries increased by 30% who also approved a 5% pension increase in line with the federal government’s announcement.

‘Roshan Rahay Naya Sawera’ is the name given to the Rs3.226 trillion budget for fiscal year 2022-23.

In addition to the 30 percent pay increase, employees in certain departments will receive a 15 percent disparity allowance.

Employees in the secretariat and the CM House will only get a 15% pay increase.

The provincial government has decided to give Sardar Awais Leghari the portfolio of finance minister in order for him to present the budget.

According to documents, a proposal to allocate Rs900 million for women’s development projects has been accepted, while Rs19.5 billion has been allocated for local government.

Meanwhile, the cabinet approved a proposed allocation of Rs164.26 billion for infrastructure development projects. A total of Rs80.77 billion has been earmarked for road construction.

According to the documents, Rs27.63 billion has been set aside for irrigation, Rs5 billion for energy, and Rs41.4 billion for production.

The provincial finance ministry has proposed allocating Rs29.5 billion to public buildings and more than Rs21 billion to urban development.
