Cricket legend Shahid Afridi congratulated PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on his election as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. He tweeted that he hopes Shehbaz will be able to fix the current issues in Pakistan, despite the fact that he has never been a politician and doesn’t have any experience in politics.
Earlier today, Shehbaz Sharif was elected as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. Ayaz Sadiq acted as Speaker of the National Assembly and announced the results.
Shehbaz got 174 votes, but his opponent, Shah Mehmood Qureshi of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), did not receive any votes because he boycotted the prime minister’s election.
