Pope Leo XIV diagnosed with lung cancer after successful surgery, Vatican says
The 71-year-old pontiff had a 90-minute operation at Rome's Gemelli Hospital to remove a lower lobe of his right lung and was diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma, according to a Vatican medical bulletin.
