The wicket-keeper batsman revealed that he had been suffering with form and that his wife, Khushbakht, had advised him to focus more on batting in order to secure his status in the squad. Sarfaraz responded by telling her to mind her own business and never bring up performance with him.
Sarfaraz stated That “Mera coach banne ki zaroorat nahi hai, mere pas already coaches hain [Don’t try to be my coach, I already have my coaches],” .
The incident did not sit well with social media users, who criticized Sarfaraz for his condescending behavior toward his wife.
