Dua Zahra, who went missing in Karachi in April but later revealed that she had fled to marry 21-year-old Zaheer Ahmed, appeared on camera for the first time with her husband in an official interview with a YouTube channel Zunaira Mahum.
During the interview, Dua and Zaheer reveal the “reality,” while the teenager tells her parents that she married according to Islamic law but apologizes if her parents still believe she made a mistake.
“I would like to request them [parents] to accept me and Zaheer with a big heart. I know they have gone through sorrow and even I have but I ask them to accept us,” Dua, who tells she is 17 years old, said.

She further said that she travelled all the way from Karachi to Lahore by herself.
“I took a rickshaw from my house to the taxi stand and took a taxi to Lahore.”
When asked about the general concern of how a teenage girl could travel alone safely, Dua stated that she planned to marry and, as a result, Allah assisted and protected her.
She also claimed that her father, Mehdi Kazmi, wanted to marry her off to her nephew (his brother’s son), Zainul Abideen, in order to acquire “a plot” that he was fighting with his brother over.
Zaheer stated at the start of the interview that he is not a “gardener” and that he deals with the sale, purchase, and repair of mobile phones.
“I recently completed my FSC from pre-medical and earn between Rs60,000 and Rs80,000 per month from mobile phone dealing,” he added.
