Dr. Yasmin Rashid, a former Punjab Minister for Health, was appointed President of the Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Central Punjab on Saturday.
Farrukh Habib, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, revealed the details on Twitter. He stated that the Central General Secretary Asad Umar issued the notification of Dr. Yasmin Rashid’s appointment as PTI President Central Punjab after receiving approval from PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Hammad Azhar has been named General Secretary Central Punjab, Aamir Kiani has been named President North Punjab, and Senator Aon Abbas Buppi has been named President South Punjab, according to the announcement.
Rashid was praised in political circles across the country last month for her brave and extraordinary role in the PTI’s long march toward Islamabad.
It’s important to note that Shafqat Mahood, the PTI Punjab President, announced his resignation on Friday, stating health issues as the cause for his inability to serve the party as provincial president.
