We have a whole new Yellowstone prequel series 1923, coming soon for those of us who were sad to see that 1883 was more of a limited series (like myself).
A very significant name change has recently occurred for the new series, which is another chapter in the origin story of the Dutton Family.
The show, once known as 1932, will now be titled as 1923, bringing it a little closer to the year 1883 and potentially allowing some of those well-known figures to appear in the new plot, Paramount stated during its star-studded UK premiere.
This new tale set in the Yellowstone universe, which, like 1883, is slated to be a Paramount Plus original series, is once again the idea of Taylor Sheridan.
The Tulsa King, Lioness, and The Bass Reeves Story are just a few of the numerous projects Sheridan is developing for Paramount, along with Yellowstone season 5 and other shows set in alternate but related historical periods.
Yellowstone Prequel 1923 Release Date
Paramount Plus has announced Yellowstone Prequel 1923 will premiere in December 2022, though an exact date has not been revealed.
Similar to how 1883 was released, which debuted in the US in December 2021, this series will be launched in December. Before the following eight episodes of 1883 were only accessible via the streaming service, its first two episodes debuted alongside brand-new episodes of Yellowstone season 4 on the cable channel Paramount Network.
Although it’s unknown if 1923 will follow a similar release schedule, there’s a decent probability Yellowstone season 5 will premiere new episodes around that time.
