Nothing says it’s official like a new profile pic, and Little Mix just updated theirs, featuring only the three current members. It’s the dawning of a new age! This week Little Mix officially turned the page by switching their profile pictures across their social media accounts.
The new photo showcases Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, each donning a unique black outfit that compliments their individual personalities. Obviously, what’s more, telling about this new change is the accompanying caption that reads: Patiently waiting for April 30… #NewProfilePic.”
Moments before the big update, the girls made an even more significant announcement about their upcoming new music. Take a look: “Our brand new single featuring Saweetie is out on the 30th, Friday. Check it out! 30th of April? Are we in April? Yes. 30th of April! You are gonna absolutely gag— y’gonna love it.”
Yes, we know it’s hard to believe, but we’re already in April, and gag we shall when this unexpected collab comes out featuring none other than Saweetie. This track will be a remix of ‘Confetti’ off their latest album of the same name, which came out about a month before Jesy Nelson’s departure in December of last year. And it so happens that it’s actually Jesy who opens the original version of the song, and she can also be heard in some of its choruses…
But since Little Mix is now being marketed as a trio, it’s safe to assume that they’ve recorded a brand new version of the song altogether for this remix with only the voices of the three current members.
As for a potential music video, well, nothing has been confirmed yet, but Perrie made teas back in February that they were working on a new song and music video, so for all we know, this could very well be what she was talking about.
This will be Little Mix’s first official single without Jesy, which would also make their first music video and sans the now solo artist. Either way, Mixers seem to finally be adjusting to the group’s new lineup as they showered them with all kinds of cool fan-art after their profile pic update.
