Adweek-Morning Consult conducted a survey on TikTok and found that nearly half of TikTok users made purchases directly through the app. Of the 49% who voted to buy it, the poll found that 15% were adults, and 36% were Gen Z in the mid-Z century. Half of Millennials said they bought the brand on a video platform, and 53% of Gen Zers said the same thing. This is good news for the platform because more and more advertisers will be interested in using this feature for marketing on TikTok.

On a large scale, TikTok shows that every generation has the preferred platform for shopping on social media. Almost 60% of millennials choose Facebook as their grocery shopping app. Millennials are also there. It shows that a total of 41% of adults said that they purchased after viewing them on Facebook, which is still more than on TikTok.This is because TikTok only accounts for 30% of adults and 71% of Gen Z. Instagram is now more popular with Gen Z (88%) and Millennials (71%). However, in a survey, only 23% of Gen X said they bought something after seeing something on Instagram.
