In early May, Intel released the first 11th-generation Tiger Lake H series processors to support more powerful notebook computers, causing a sensation.

At Computex 2021, the company also announced some new U-series chips, one of which is the first version 5.0. The line frequency of low-voltage U series microcircuits.

Specifically, Intel announced the launch of its new advanced U-series chips Core i7-1195G7 and Core i5-1155G7, the latter is also the crown of Intel’s most powerful Core i5 chipsThe basic clock of Core i7-1195G7 is 2.9 GHz, but when Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 is used, the maximum single-core clock is 5.0 GHz.

However, the basic clock rate of i5-1155G7 is 2.5 GHz and has been increased to 4.5 GHz. Unpacking at 5 GHz is a relatively new development in laptop processors.

Intel’s first laptop processor that exceeds the 5 GHz mark was available in 2019. In addition to the new processor, Intel also announced its latest laptop 5G modem solution, a new M.2 card that device manufacturers can use in their projects.

It is called the Intel 5G Solution 5000. (Although Intel announced that Apple has sold its 5G smartphone division), Intel continues to make efforts in other areas of the next generation, such as the original 11th-generation U-series chips.

There is a quad-core/eight-wire configuration, and Iris Xe with Intel (Core i7-1195G7 is equipped with 96 EUs, while Core i5-1155G7 is equipped with 80 EUs.

The new modems are Intel, MediaTek (where I check the firmware on the modem). The result of the cooperation with Fibocom (the actual manufacturing module) will support Sub-6GHz 5G and integrated eSIM technology.
