Facebook is further expanding the Instagram Messenger API so that brands and companies can load Instagram Direct messages into their favorite CRM applications. The development announced at the F8 Developers Conference has been in the making for quite a while now.

Tools that can be developed based on the Messenger API have been launched on the market in October 2020. After constant testing and feature archiving, it seems that Facebook has decided to establish a connection between Instagram and other applications that serve as brand covers.
