Budget plan 2021-22: Punjab suggests Rs370 billion for health and wellness services

LAHORE – The Punjab federal government has suggested an allotment of Rs370 billion for the health and wellness sector in the following budget for the financial year 2021-22. Provincial Finance Minister Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht provided Budget plan 2021-22 with an overall investment of Rs2,653 billion on Monday.

The health and wellness budget plan consists of Rs 95.20 billion for various advancement programs in the sector while Rs80 billion was allocated for Sehat Insaf Card under Prime Minster Health and wellness Effort. The federal government of Pakistan’s many populated districts has reserve Rs 78.70 billion for Specialized Healthcare & Medical education (SH&ME) and Rs17.212 billion for Primary and Healthcare (P&SH).

It has revealed to assign R 28.304 billion for the SH&ME (Southern Punjab) and Rs 5.886 billion for the P&SH of the districts in Southern Punjab. It’s for the very first time in the background that Punjab federal government has revealed a different budget for the areas of Southern Punjab.

The Chief Minister Usman Buzdar-led federal government has allocated Rs87.50 million for clinical education and learning in Southern Punjab under new plans while Rs21.072 million was assigned for miscellaneous plans and Rs 1.648 billion for new plans of Tertiary Treatment Medical facilities in the area.

A quantity of Rs913.500 million was assigned for the continuous plans of Precautionary Health care plans, Rs 355.802 million for Main Health care, Rs98.348 million for Research study and Advancement continuous plans, and Rs1.175 billion for continuous plans of Secondary Health care in Southern Punjab areas.

A healthy diet is essential for staying healthy

To guarantee the arrangement of health and wellness centers in less-developed locations of the arrangement, the federal government has allocated Rs 175 million. Likewise, the federal government has assigned Rs2.014 for the Area Advancement Bundle, Rs122.5 million for Precautionary Health care new plans, Rs342.792 million for the Main Health care, Rs111 million for Research study & Advancement and Rs 312.571 million was reserve for new plans of Second Health care industry in Southern Punjab.
