Facebook, Google and Twitter are stepping up their joint efforts to combat domestic activism and hate speech

A few years ago, social media giants such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Twitter set up working groups around the world to unite to combat extremist content from their platforms, because this has become a big problem on all platforms and is very difficult to control. This is the first time these large platforms have expanded their efforts to include local groups to combat activism and hate speech.

They now plan to list various white fanatic groups and right-wing paramilitary organizations as official extremist organizations. A new list of high-risk organizations has been released for each platform; many ethnic groups are under further investigation. It is important to study any activities of these groups so that they can be easily followed up.

According to a Reuters statement, the Global Internet Counter-Terrorism Forum is trying to monitor video content and photos from fanatical organizations listed by the United Nations. In the next timetable, the Global Internet Forum will also add the attacker tactics shared by supporters after the ferocity of Whitebigot. These groups have also been denied access to various platforms due to their high levels of violence.

These technological platforms have tried to curb the spread of many local organizations in recent years. After the US Capitol incident, these giant technology platforms have become more focused on these groups, but these platforms have identified threats that may be assumed by the national cluster as “proud boys” and may use social media to support their plans. This constitutes an imminent threat of huge political atrocities.

Facebook is improving its control over the content sensitivity of all its platforms

Facebook has also been accused of inciting similar riots in other areas, not just in support of right-wing extremism. Therefore, the platform has to face serious investigations in this regard. There are many unsafe campaigns on social media that have attracted the attention of many people. For social platform algorithms that aim to add extra compelling content, this is absolutely disappointing.

It’s not hard to understand that expressive, blatant, and dramatic content can easily attract users’ attention. People want more likes and comments on your content. Unfortunately, the best strategy is to push the limits. Likewise, simple updates will not attract users’ attention; on the contrary, controversial moves will help increase content. Today, the most extreme prospects are getting more traffic on the Internet. These types of postures should not flourish and therefore require too much effort because this is a very difficult subject.
