Quora expands its knowledge with new monetization opportunities

In the past two months, progress has been made on the online Q&A forum page.

The largest of these appeared in May, when Yahoo! Since 2005, closed its business 16 years later. When bad news from forum giants reaches users, good news from forum users also follows. Quora, originally a question-and-answer forum turned into a blogging platform, has benefited a lot from advertising.

However, not only that, Quora researched it and enabled Quora users and experts to generate revenue by monetizing subscribers. However, given the developments that have already begun, it can be assumed that this change has been in effect for a longer period of time.

Quora CEO Adam D’Angelo mentioned on his blog that the reason for this update is to help knowledge sharing attain new heights. The first product brought forward based on those principles is called Quora+. This average price includes two options, the first is a monthly fee of $5, and the second is an annual fee of $50.

These two are standard pricing mechanisms provided by other users. Although price similarity does not seem to be important, it emphasizes Quora’s intention to only inspire content creators rather than competition. Quora+ also provides dynamic paid access to content creators, who can choose freely displayed content to turn users into regular contributors. Adaptive paid access uses algorithms to determine which content and which users can be displayed for free.

However, what sets Quora apart from efforts to share knowledge is that the subscription fee is only a 5% cut and the rest is allocated to creators based on the knowledge acquired. By dedicating to the dissemination of information, it helps to ensure that the platform is adequate in the long run and useful to the entire community. The subscription feature has been activated in 25 countries and will be expanded in the near future.
