YouTube is testing a new feature that allows users to skip chapters in the video using fingers and tapping

The main goal of YouTube is to always bring interesting features to people so that they can increase their engagement, as a new initiative has recently been launched to make the removal of video content easier than ever. In addition to the sliding options described above, a new forward or backward option has recently been introduced, which allows you to double-tap with two fingers to quickly browse through chapters.

Allow people to see your name and some other information mentioned by the creator. It should be noted that this function can only be used when the video part contains these parts. For the video content, you can double-click on the right side of the video screen. To go to the previous section, the user needs to double-click on the left side of the screen.

Users can enjoy the latter option, even more, when watching videos in landscape mode. However, when users view it in portrait, they need extra precision. A Reddit forum user first pointed out this feature, and the Android police reported it for the first time. Soon, all Android users and iOS users will be able to take advantage of this latest option.

The latter option appears to be part of a server-level deployment so that users can gradually take advantage of this feature. To test the latter, the user must touch and hold the video screen and then slide their finger forward or backward to enter the next chapter.

The huge video platform also displays small thumbnails of the content you just skipped to make it as easy as possible to access your favorite video content. Previously, users had to tap twice to skip ten seconds of video content, now they can use two fingers.

YouTube is experimenting with the "loop" button everyone wants

This option is now available in Android 16.31.35 Beta, but it is unclear whether it is linked to the video pre-debugging feature. YouTube now pays more attention to gestures so that users can get the best video experience on its platform.
