The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Primary and Secondary Education Department has announced the summer vacation schedule for schools and institutions.
According to the official announcement, all summer districts schools and colleges will be closed from June 1 to August 14. On August 15, educational institutes will reopen.
From July 1 to July 31, all schools and universities in winter districts will be closed. Academic activities in these districts’ educational institutes will resume on August 1.
Parents and students had been asking the province officials to announce early summer vacations due to prevailing heatwave in the province. However, the officials did not accept their requests and announced the summer vacations as scheduled.
Due to the high heat in the province, the Balochistan Education Department declared early summer vacations at public and private schools and colleges on Monday.
A day later, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) had also officially announced summer vacations in all public and private schools operating in the authority of Islamabad due to a severe heatwave.
