Saad Baig from Karachi made history by hitting the fastest-ever double century in Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) U19 cricket.
The Karachi-born youngster destroyed bowlers to all parts of the ground on his way to an innings of 251 not out against Sanghar in the ongoing City Cricket Association Under-19 Tournament.
Saad, who is expressing Karachi Zone 3 in the tournament, smashed 32 fours and 6 sixes during his innings that came off just 161 balls.
The teenager, who is still just sixteen years old, has also played for Sindh U16s and Karachi U13s.
The 50-over game is intended to provide young cricketers a chance to impress selectors ahead of the divisional tournament and PCB U19 three-day and one-day tournaments, according to the PCB. The tournament’s top performances will also have a chance to be picked for the Pakistan Junior League’s debut season.
