Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, wrote a letter to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi expressing his desire for peaceful ties with the neighbouring country, according to sources familiar with the development.
A letter came in response to the Indian prime minister’s letter, which told about Shehbaz Sharif becoming the country’s new prime minister.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif said in his reply that Pakistan desires peaceful ties with India. He wants a resolution for all the outstanding issues, including that of Kashmir.
Modi wrote a letter to his Pakistani counterpart a few days ago and conveyed that India desires constructive relations with Pakistan.
On April 11, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on his election as the prime minister of Pakistan and said India desires peace and stability.
