Uber has recently announced good news for Islamabad drivers. The highly sought-after ride-hailing service has fulfilled its promise to eliminate service fees for Uber drivers in the capital city, providing that drivers will no longer have to pay Uber a percentage of their fare earnings.
An official notice indicated the ride-sourcing service removes service fees from operators. Previously, operators had to pay 25% service fees. But now that the service fee is now 0% , drivers would be allowed to take the entire fare for themselves.
There are no terms and conditions attached with this new change for drivers. Drivers will draw more revenue from fares from now on, with no conditions attached.
This change takes effect from May 15, 2022, and is designed to maintain worker loyalty while attracting new drivers to Uber. This will eliminate the need for various rideshare services and keep a lid on a serious problem, such as high-demand times when customers are in need of rides.
