After PTI Chief Imran Khan on Friday evening issued an objectionable statement against PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz during his Multan address, politicians, media people, and civil society members have censured Khan for his “sexist and misogynist” comments.
What Imran Khan Said about Maryam Nawaz?
During his jalsa, Khan, making reference to Maryam’s Sargodha rally on May 19 in which she continuously berated him, stated that “ Someone had sent me the speech delivered by Maryam Nawaz in Sargodha yesterday.“
“I want to tell you that your husband may get upset because of the way you are taking my name,” the ex-PM said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly objected to the remark, saying that women across the country should resist the use of such “regrettable” language.
“You will not be able to hide your crimes against the country using such shoddy tactics.” “One can’t expect those who disrespected the Prophet’s Mosque to respect mothers, sisters, and daughters,” Shehbaz posted on Twitter.
